On 01 December, 2009, Gift of the Givers responded to the residents of the iKwazibusele informal settlement in Mshwati. Their homes and belongings were damaged and destroyed by the storm which violently broke out in the area. GOTG distributed food parcels, blankets and rechargeable lights.
