Sports Development - Soccer

Easter Tournament, KZN, 2011

Gift of the Givers strives to empower the youth, using Sport as one of many means. In this spirit, the tournament was held over the Easter Weekend ,22-25 March 2011, at the Raisethorpe Secondary School grounds. A total of 16 teams participated in this tournament, which cost in the region of R100 000, all totally funded by Gift of the Givers. The event proved to be a fun family outing for the entire community

The tournament was held over four days. Gift of the Givers provided :

1 Pot Hot Meals per day
Total of R25 000 in cash was awarded to the teams
Trophy Awards for all participants
Medals for winners
Special Prizes awarded to public
200 Unilever Hygiene hampers

In addition, 3 floating Victor Ludorum trophies worth R1500.00 were sponsored to the school for the use of the grounds
