Gift of the Givers had responded to disasters in Nkhatabay in the Northern Region and Neno in the Southern Region of Malawi.
In May 2006, floods hit
Chintheche leaving over 2,000 families displaced. As a result, many people were
affected by from cholera. Gift of the
Givers, within 48 hours, delivered relief items to Nkhatabay flood victims,
which included Sibusiso Ready Food Supplement, Plastic buckets and food
parcels.
In July 2006, flooding
occurred in Mwanza and 1,000 families were displaced. As soon as the news
reached us, Gift of the Givers dispatched relief items such as black sheeting,
plastic plates, cups and food parcels.

After another successful delivery in Badeen yesterday, our youth team had a major mishap at 3am today in Pakistan on the way back to Karachi. The car carrying Gift of the Givers chief coordinator, Neelum Sayed, and three others, skidded on flood affected roads, capsized twice and landed in water. Ph 0800786777 for further details.
