Bicycle Ambulances

Due to inadequate facilities such as ambulances in the hospitals, people, especially pregnant women and the elderly, find it difficult to walk long distances to access clinics and hospitals for treatment. Gift of the Givers has deployed Bicycle Ambulances in various rural areas to alleviate this problem.

Beneficiaries:

In 2006: 5 Communities (50, 000 people)
