The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in KwaZulu-Natal placed a request in local community paper asking for the public to donate wool to them, since they have a team of people who were willing to knit doggie clothing for winter. Gift of the Givers responded with a donation of 66 blankets and four bales of wool for this cause.
