15/05/2012 - Huis Alleyne Distribution

Once again the residents of Huis Alleyne were overjoyed with excitement when the Gift of the Givers team arrived with their 69 monthly Food Parcels and 69 Detergent and Hygiene Packs which would see them through the month. The moment we entered, we were joined by all the residents. A prayer of thanks was said before and after we distributed their parcels.

The residents at Huis Alleyne comprises of 6 couples, 10 males and 53 females. The eldest resident named Mrs Louisa Bosch is 99 years of age and is remarkably in the best of health and strength.

These monthly donations has not only lifted the spirit of these elders but it has given them a sense of peace. It has alleviated their concerns and has granted them the liberty to utilize what is left of their pension money on the little pleasures of life instead of the basic necessities which we are now providing them with.
