Eastern Mosaic
In commemoration of the 150 year anniversary of the arrival of Indians in South Africa, Gift of the Givers and Eastern Mosaic have embarked on a programme of Social Responsibility in 26 locations in South Africa. The aim is to highlight the contribution of Indians to all sectors of South African society. The projects carried out are featured on these pages. Some of them will appear in greater details on Eastern Mosaic commencing 09 May 2010.

Unilever South Africa
Unilever South Africa embarked on a partnership with GOTG, donating household, personal hygiene and non-perishable food items toward our many community projects.

Kaya FM 95.9
Kaya FM 95.9 started a collection drive where people bring non perishable items for distribution to homes over a 12 day period. A total of 48 food parcels will be delivered to the poorest of the poor where one would find that the only source of income is the pension of the Aged

Vector Logistics
A fully owned subsidiary of Rainbow Chicken Limited, Vector Logistics (Pty) Ltd donates chicken burger patties and chips to Gift of the Givers for distribution to our deserving recipients.

East Coast Radio Toy Story
Gift of the Givers officially partners East Coast Radio launching the Toy Story project in October 2006. An initial contribution of 6000 food parcels valued at R2.2 million was made. Various toys were also distributed to impoverished children in schools, institutions and rural areas. The 3 year partnership proved highly successful.

East Coast Radio Winter Warmth
Gift of the Givers and East Coast Radio entered into a partnership to bring relief to populations affected by the severe winter cold; populations whose physical conditions are aggravated by exposure to the elements, the absence of proper housing, the absence of heating compounded by malnutrition and existing disease states. An initial contribution of R2 million was made toward the campaign which commenced on 01 May 2005 and lasted a total of 3 years.
