The day began at 10:00 and concluded at 16:30. The program opened with the important prayer of blessings followed by the praise of our country’s National Anthem.

We wanted an unusual, dramatic and exciting event that everyone could enjoy and participate in. To name but a few, we went the extra mile in arranging ‘Tracey Bodington’ the only female snake trainer in Cape Town from Minni Mo Edutainment, to show off her performance with her friendly snakes. A stunning presentation at her delivery, the children were definitely captivated and thrilled by her show.

Thereafter, the children lined up cordially to receive their Gift of the Givers Gift Bags, filled with party packets; cool drinks; toys; a burger and an ice-cream. With the increasing atmosphere of warm laughter and joy, that alone was enough blessings and satisfaction that the Gift of the Givers team could asked for. We believe that if we can bring a smile to the face of every child for a few hours of the day, we have fulfilled our deed to those who need it most.
