On 30 March 2011 Keimoes community members in Northern Cape received the following aid items from GOTG in partnership with SAfm:

  • 400 Unilever Household packs
  • 400 Unilever Hygiene packs
  • 300 Pairs of Boots
  • 300 Packets of Chips
  • 300 Cans of Cooldrink
  • 50 Packs of Huggies

SAfm broadcasted live whilst distributing the goods to the flood victims.

KZN Floods

Following the continuous heavy rains last night in KZN and the resultant flooding in surrounding areas of Ladysmith and Newcastle, Gift of the Givers are on standby to respond from their Pietermaritzburg and Johannesburg offices. The offices are officially closed from 15 December 2010 to 09 January 2011, however we were already called out once to respond to the Soweto Floods of 16-17 December 2010

Updated Flood Report - Upington
