Gift of the Givers distributes water to the drought stricken district of Jowhar. The river is drying up and animals are dying. People are in a desperate position as food and water is scarce.

At least 118 people confirmed dead from starvation and drought-related illnesses in Somalia in the past 72 hours. Most of them are women and children.
The situation is difficult even for the pastoralist and their livestock. Some people have been hit by hunger and diarrhoea at the same time. The Somali government will do its best, and we urge all to help and save the dying Somalis.
