| GOTG 7th Soccer Development Programme in Alexandra |
|
Building a great South African football team is directly dependent on the spend and degree of skills development in the youth of our country. It is this investment that ultimately will produce the stars of tomorrow who one day will lift the trophy for South Africa and Africa. Gift of the Givers soccer development programme continues with earnest. Today is our 7th programme, having enjoyed six extremely successful programmes in various provinces. Today's programme in Alexandra commences at 11am. In attendance will be Paul Mashatile, Deputy Minister of Sport, Dorothy Mahlangu, Gauteng MEC for Social Development, Mike Mangena (soccer 411) and Innocent Mayoyo (ex Orlando Pirates), amoung others. In addition to the distribution of soccer kits and balls, a 1000 people will be fed a nutritious meal and 1000 new blankets will be distributed. This is the standard protocol at all our events. Taking the soccer development to a higher level, Gift of the Givers will be distributing FREE copies of veteran SA coach, Boebie Solomon's, just published new book, "Introduction to High Level Coaching Techniques". The programme at Alexandra follows a hugely successful programme with Premier Helen Zille in Hanover Park, Cape Town.
